Dr. Matthew Hughes, originally from upstate New York, received his undergraduate degree from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. He then obtained his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry/Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago. Dr. Hughes continued his studies to complete a residency in ocular disease and pathology as well as a post residency fellowship in advanced ocular disease. Dr. Hughes centers his practice on the treatment of complex eye disorders. He lectures nationally on advanced medical/surgical disease and practice management.
